GRUPO PROPULSOR

  • Ditch Witch JT520 The JT520 is a compact directional drilling system ideal for shallow-product installations in urban and residential areas. Designed for multiple installations per day, the JT520 is capable of pulling two-inch (50 mm) or smaller diameter conduit up to 150 feet (46 m) depending on soil solutions. The system can be transported with a ¾ ton pickup truck and the unit fits through a 36-inch (91 cm) yard gate.

POWER

  • 28.5 gross hp (21.25 kW) diesel engine delivers high spindle speed of up to 195 rpm and peak torque of 500 ft•lb (678 N•m). Maximum thrust is 4500 pounds (20 kN) with 5000 pounds (22.2 kN) of pullback.

PRODUCTIVITY AND PERFORMANCE

  • Thrust/rotation and fluid/auxiliary functions can all be run simultaneously without one function robbing power from the others.
  • Flat-style pipe wrench system breaks joints without damaging drill pipe.
  • Carries 150 feet (46 m) of UFE drill pipe with a 70 foot (21.3 m) bend radius allowing shallow installations without exceeding pipe capabilities.
